Emily grew up around friends and family who always encouraged her to pursue the Lord. She went to college for music education and then graduated with a biblical studies certificate from bible school in Kansas City MO. While there she taught at the school of music and led worship teams. God brought her on many adventures to other countries and she lived overseas for 2 years. She is very excited to serve with Grow Haiti because intercultural work and sharing Gods love are her passion. She met her husband, the local team’s translator, on a trip to help with Syrian refugees. They now reside in Northwood ND with their two children. Travel is a big part of their life as they go often to see family in Jordan, which they also consider their home.
